For years El Paso, Texas band Fragile Gang (including Skylight Staffer Arlo Klahr) have weaved the twin strands of cracked-up bedroom punk and sweet silvery folk.

On their new album, Twister in the Ocrean, they've gone a step further, drawing on the spirit of the folk music they love: sweet soul, sugar pop, Carter Family folk, and DIY underground sounds of all stripes.  In the process, they've made a record that manages to feel like both a mature culmination and an assured first step.
