God --

You wanted me and created me as the one I am

often I felt as if it was not me you were speaking to

left at the margins

misunderstood -- excluded

There was no room for joy.

My heart was in chains

why, God, why me of all people?

And you heard me --

maybe it was just a dream --

or was it a miracle

a door has been opened

and I will not go through it all alone
