Los Feliz Village Neighborhood Fair

No, the streets will not be closed off this year and there won't be vendor booths and petting zoos --
BUT... it's something new. Somewhat like last December's lively neighborhood Holiday Fair, many local businesses on Vermont, Hillhurst and Hollywood are celebrating summer with a big "open house" -- sidewalk specials and discounts, as well as music and other activities throughout the area - and there will be free trams to get you around the neighborhood (from Vermont Ave to Hollywood Blvd to Hillhurst).
30-70% discount specials, local musicians, face painting, live entertainment & DJ music, a scavenger hunt ... and more.
Drop by your favorite merchants and enjoy the best Los Feliz has to offer. There are many new businesses in the Village that you may not yet have discovered.
Pick up a map of some of the participating members & planned events on the 2 complimentary trams.

Stops will be posted throughout the Village - look for the signs & balloons.

$1 raffle tickets will be available at several locations throughout the Village. Proceeds to benefit the Barnsdall Art Park

Special Sales & Activities at Skylight Books during the Neighborhood Fair on July 31
 
On the sidewalk in front of the store:
  • all day Home-made Cookies and juice (while they last!)
  • all day 30-50% off Kids and adult book tables
  • 2 - 5 pm Kids activity: draw your favorite character from a book (with art materials from "Melissa & Doug")
  • 3 - 4 pm Chat with some noted LOCAL CHILDREN'S BOOK AUTHORS!! - they'll tell you how they get their ideas, write their books... answer questions, read a little from their books
  • 8 - 9 pm Live Music: Aisling & Arlo from the band Fragile Gang, playing acoustic music in front of the store.

  • all day (10am - midnight): 15% off all books in the FICTION, CHILDREN, GRAPHIC NOVELS, ART & PHOTOGRAPHY sections!!!
  • 10 to MIDNIGHT (in our 'arts annex' at 1814 N Vermont: Hot Summer Saturday -"Rock n Roll Extravaganza" with two live bands - Fragile Gang + Whqles -- sweating and yelping and providing cruelty-free tunes for your hot summer night.
